Zachary G. Tucker, Esq., and Christina A. Bentley, FRP, of Doolittle & Tucker P.A. share their expertise at the 2017 WILG Annual Convention in Palm Beach, Florida.

The Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG) is a national, non-profit membership organization dedicated to representing the interests of millions of workers and their families who suffer the consequences of work-related injuries or occupational illnesses. Founded in 1995, WILG acts principally to assist attorneys and non-profit groups in advocating the rights of injured workers through education, communication, research, and information gathering.

Each year, WILG holds an annual conference to discuss industry trends, legal updates and provides continuing legal education to its attendees. Last week, the 2017 educational conference was held in Palm Beach, Florida.

Zachary G. Tucker, Esq., and Christina A. Bentley, FRP, of Doolittle & Tucker, P.A. in Jacksonville, Florida, participated in the annual conference by sharing their knowledge and legal expertise during the Longshore Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminar. Mr. Tucker – whose practice focuses primarily on helping injured workers under the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act, the Defense Base Act, and the Florida Workers Compensation Act – provided a seminar on prevalent “last responsible employer/carrier” issues when litigating Longshore and Defense Base Act claims. Mrs. Bentley provided a segment on how to build and maintain strong legal cases from a paralegal’s perspective. Both presentations were very educational and well-received.

In addition, the WILG Annual Conference included a president’s dinner to honor the incoming WILG President, Amie Peters, Esq., who has co-chaired the Longshore Section of WILG since 2009. Doolittle & Tucker, P.A. commend Ms. Peters for all of her relentless efforts within WILG and congratulate her on the well-deserved honor.
