Am I required to give a recorded statement in a DBA, LS, FWCA, or PI claim?

Video Transcription:

Under the Florida Worker’s Compensation Act, the Longshore Act, or the Defense Base Act, you are not required to give a recorded statement and you should not do so. If you are contacted by and insurance adjuster who requests a recorded statement, decline and immediately contact an attorney.

In a personal injury case you are required to give a recorded statement to your own insurance company in a motor vehicle crash. Do not give a recorded statement to the at fault driver’s insurance company, nor do you give recorded statements to the property owners of a store where you slipped and fell. Again, recorded statements are dangerous. If you are asked to give one, immediately contact an attorney.
