Video Transcription:

Under the Defense Base Act, if the employee’s injured by a war hazard, then the employer carrier may apply to the War Hazards Compensation Act for reimbursements. For example, if the employee injures his shoulder or his back lifting an ammunition can, that’s straightforward worker’s compensation. However, if the employee is injured by a war hazard, and improvised explosive device, mortar rounds, rocket fire, PTSD, those things are covered under the War Hazards Compensation Act.
